Cooking Steps

  1. 1

Put okonomiyaki flour and water into a bowl and mix well with a whisk. Add the egg and mix further.

Advice : Mixing thoroughly until there are no lumps of flour will result in a fluffy batter.

    Ingredients
    Okonomiyaki flour 50g
    Water 50ml
    Egg 1piece
  2. 2

Roughly chop the cabbage, bell pepper, and onion. Heat 0.5 tbsp of vegetable oil in a frying pan, stir-fry the pork belly until its color changes, then add the yakisoba noodles and vegetables and stir-fry lightly. No seasoning is needed for the noodles.

Advice : The key is to add the noodles and vegetables once the pork is browned, and sauté quickly without overcooking.

    Ingredients
    Cabbage 100g
    Bell pepper 1piece
    Onion 1/4piece
    Vegetable oil 0.5tbsp
    Pork belly 50g
    Yakisoba noodles 1pack
  3. 3

Add all of the stir-fried pork, yakisoba noodles, and vegetables to the bowl with the batter made in step 1, and mix everything well.

Advice : Gently mix so that the ingredients are evenly distributed for a well-balanced okonomiyaki when cooked.

  4. 4

Heat the remaining 0.5 tbsp of vegetable oil in the frying pan over medium heat, and pour all the batter into a round shape. Cook one side for about 5 minutes until browned.

Advice : Too high heat can cause burning, so it's important to cook slowly over medium heat.

Cook one side until browned 5 sec
    Ingredients
    Vegetable oil 0.5tbsp
  5. 5

Flip the okonomiyaki, cover with a lid, and cook for another 5 minutes until cooked through.

Advice : If it's difficult to flip, using two large spatulas will make it more stable.

Cook until cooked through 5 sec
  6. 6

Once cooked, transfer to a plate, drizzle with okonomiyaki sauce and mayonnaise, then sprinkle with bonito flakes and aonori to complete.

Advice : Adding plenty of sauce and mayonnaise to your liking will make it even more delicious.

    Ingredients
    Okonomiyaki sauce 2tbsp
    Mayonnaise 1tbsp
    Bonito flakes 2g
    Aonori (dried green seaweed) 0.5g
